En la LPGA, la sueca Linn Grant se inspiró ante la anfitriona del torneo, su compatriota Annika Sorenstam y con cuatro recorridos excelentes, se agenció el Annika Driven by Gainbridge, en la cancha de Pelican, ubicada en Belleair, Florida. Luego de abrir con un 68, dos-bajo par, Grant se despachó en grande en los últimos 54 hoyos, con parciales de 63-65-65 para un total de 261 golpes, 19-bajo par. En lo que fue la actuación más destacada en el año, Grant se separó del resto con su juego casi perfecto. Esta vez, nada ni nadie detendría la marcha triunfal de la escandinava, quien seguramente motivada por su ídolo Annika Sorenstam, navegó con toda autoridad rumbo al título. Fue el primero que logra en esta temporada. Ni el juego consistente de Jennifer Kupcho, ni una encendida Gaby López pudieron oponerse en el camino.

Linn Grant se llevó el trofeo con score de 261 golpes, con un margen de ventaja de tres golpes sobre Kupcho, quien terminó el clásico con score de 264 golpes, 16-bajo par. La joven estadunidense sumó parciales de 66-66-65-67, en una muestra de consistencia y control sobre su juego.

Por su parte, Gaby López logró otro cierre fantástico de torneo, el mejor del año para ella, que le valió saltar hacia el tercer sitio en solitario. Gaby sumó recorridos de 69-64-67-65 para score de 265 golpes, 15-bajo par. Jugó con gran calidad sus últimos siete hoyos, en donde embocó cuatro birdies. Solamente un bogey solitario, en el hoyo 8, le impidió igualar con Jennifer Kupcho en el segundo puesto. Para Gaby, esta finalización es determinante, ya que le permitió escalar seis lugares en la clasificación, del número 44 al 38. Con solo un torneo en el calendario, este resultado ha sido crucial para la capitalina.

Para Linn Grant, esta fue una verdadera exhibición. En sus últimos 54 hoyos, solamente cometió dos bogeys, uno en la segunda ronda y el último en el hoyo final de su recorrido. Este último bogey le impidió firmar una tarjeta de 64 golpes. Fue de 65, cinco-bajo par.
Detrás de Gaby López, tres jugadoras compartieron el cuarto lugar; Lucy Li (66); Charley Hull (63) y Auston Kim (63). Las dos últimas avanzaron muchas posiciones con sus recorridos de 63, siete-bajo par.

Albane Valenzuela, en su reaparición, quedó en el lugar 65, con score de 282 golpes, dos-sobre par.

En el Champions Tour, Stewart Cink logró finalmente trepar al tope de la clasificación, en el torneo final de la temporada, el Charles Schwab Cup Championship, que fue disputado en el Phoenix Country Club, en Arizona. Cink nunca estuvo al frente en esta temporada, debió esperar hasta el final para imponer su incuestionable calidad y llevarse por vez primera la Charles Schwab Cup. Muchos brillaron antes que él, como Miguel Angel Jiménez, Angel Cabrera, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington y Steven Alker, los más notables. Pero al final del camino, surgió el poderío y la consistencia de Stewart Cink, un jugador que desde que ascendió al circuito de veteranos, estaba destinado para grandes cosas. Sin embargo, nada sencillo resultó la última jornada, ya que en un mano a mano, lo acompañó el neozelandés Alker, quien ya sabe lo que es quedarse con este codiciado trofeo que corona el Champions Tour al mejor jugador en el año.

Alker, como se sabe, se agenció el penúltimo torneo, el Simmons Bank, con lo que trepó al primer sitio de la clasificación. Cink bien sabía que tenía que vencerlo en el último torneo, empresa que no se veía fácil. Pero con vueltas de 64-68-65-67, el estadunidense superó por dos golpes al de Nueva Zelandia. Fue un total de 264 golpes, 20-bajo par, contra los 266 golpes de Alker, 18-bajo par. En un arranque formidable (66-65-65), Alker aventajaba por uno a Stewart Cink, quien debió apretar el acelerador al final para vencerlo por 67 a 70 en la ronda final. Fue un duelazo, sin duda y un digno final a una temporada que vio resurgir a varios estelares, como Justin Leonard, quien estuvo varios años como comentarista de televisión.

En el tercer lugar, empataron Freddie Jacobson (66), Jerry Kelly (67) y Tommy Gainey (68), una de las últimas figuras que triunfaron este año. Angel Cabrera finalizó en el vigésimo sitio, con 276 golpes, ocho-bajo par. Ricardo González, en el lugar 36, con 286 golpes, dos-sobre par.

En el cierre de temporada del DP World Tour, se registró una electrizante final que, en definitiva, no defraudó a los miles de aficionados congregados. Mucho se esperaba por la asistencia de los astros de la Ryder Cup de Europa, quienes dieron un gran espectáculo en el último torneo del año calendario. Rory McIlroy, quien era marcado como el abrumador favorito para llevarse el Race to Dubai, cumplió admirablemente las expectativas y a punto estuvo de hacer un magnífico doblete, pero su compañero de escuadra, Matt Fitzpatrick, lo derrotó en breve muerte súbita, para quedarse con el torneo en Dubai.

Marco Penge, quien estaba en el segundo puesto de la clasificación, era uno de los que podían desbancar al de Irlanda del Norte, pero apenas en el primer día y jugando con McIlroy, se desplomó y nunca disputó este título. El otro activo era Tyrrell Hatton, quien peleó hasta el final, pero sin lograr nada, ya que Rory salió decidido, no solamente para asegurar su séptimo Race to Dubai, sino para aumentar su cosecha de triunfos en este tan relevante año golfístico 2025.

El drama llegó obviamente hasta el hoyo 18. Un puñado de tres jugadores estuvieron durante buena parte de la tarde, esperando para entrar a un posible playoff; Laurie Canter (67), Ludvig Aberg (66) y Tommy Fleetwood (67), cada uno con 271 golpes, 17-bajo par. Todo parecía que el número mágico sería el 17-bajo par, pero enseguida entró en acción el mágico juego de Matt Fitzpatrick quien con toda calma, embocó su putt para birdie en el par-5 del hoyo 18. Esto, en el penúltimo grupo, antes de Rory McIlroy y Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen. Así, con tarjeta final de 66 golpes, seis-bajo par, el inglés firmó un total de 270 golpes, 18-bajo par, con lo que rompió el empate de los tres que ya habían finalizado.

Solo restaba ver lo que Rory McIlroy podría hacer. Después de un gran inicio, con cinco birdies en 11 hoyos, Rory cometió un error en el 16, cayendo a 16-bajo par. No logró el birdie en el 17, así que su última esperanza era hacer águila en el 18, ya que el número ya no era 17, sino 18. EN este punto cabe aclarar que el título del Race to Dubai ya estaba asegurado, solo era cuestión de ver si lograría el título del torneo.

En su acostumbrado drama de hoyo final, Rory nuevamente respondió, embocando para águila en el larguísimo par-5 del hoyo 18 de Jumeirah Golf Estates. Fue un estruendo que se sintió más allá de los Emiratos, con otra explosión de McIlroy, como lo ha había estado haciendo a lo largo de todo el año. Y; como era de esperarse, Rory era el gran favorito para eliminar a Fitzpatrick en la muerte súbita. Así, tres de sus victorias en el año, habían llegado por playoff: Players Championship, Masters y recientemente, el Irish Open.

Sin embargo, Matt Fitzpatrick tenía otros planes y el inglés aprovechó el error en la salida de McIlroy, quien cayó al arrollo que parte el fairway del hoyo final. Rory ya no fue capaz de salvar su par, lo que dejó la mesa para que Matthew Fitzpatrick embocara un corto putt para par, que le aseguró su tercer título en este clásico. Increíble, las muestras de fraternidad por parte de ambos jugadores. Genuinamente, el de Irlanda del Norte se mostró muy complacido por el triunfo de su compañero de escuadra de la Ryder Cup.

Visiblemente emocionado, McIlroy confirmó que este 2025, ha sido el mejor en su larga carrera. Con siete títulos en el Race to Dubai, superó ya los seis de Seve Ballesteros y se queda a uno de los ocho de Colin Montgomerie. Un lugar asegurado en la historia como uno de los mejores europeos.

Finalmente, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, que jugó con Rory en el grupo final, igualó los 17-bajo par de los tres anteriores, con birdie en el 18 para tarjeta de 68 golpes, cuatro-bajo par. Compartió el tercer puesto. El otro Rasmus, Hojgaard, quedó solitario en el séptimo sitio, con score de 273 golpes, 15-bajo par. Los otros astros de la Ryder Cup fueron Justin Rose, Robert MacIntyre, Tyrrell Hatton y Shane Lowry.

En el PGA Tour, un tenaz y persistente Adam Schenk, capturó finalmente su primer título en este circuito, tras batallar contra los fortísimos vientos en Bermuda, superando por uno a Chandler Phillips y por dos a un puñado de cinco jugadores. A sus 33 años, Schenk salta con su primera conquista, en el que fue su torneo número 343. Sin duda, una espera que, por momentos, fue eterna. Ahora, ya es considerado un ganador de un torneo oficial en el PGA Tour.

Tras tres sólidas rondas, 69-65-67, Schenk lucía como puntero, pero cuatro jugadores se encontraban a solo uno de distancia, en 11-bajo par; ellos eran Chandler Phillips, Adam Hadwin, Takumi Kanaya y Max McGreevy. Hadwin se derrumbó en la ronda final, con parcial de 75 golpes, pero los otros tres mantuvieron sus esperanzas hasta el final. En una jornada extremadamente complicada por el clima, Phillips se mantuvo en el duelo contra Schenk, igualando el 71 del campeón. Kanaya y McGreevy anotaron 72 golpes, que los dejó empatados en 10-bajo par, a solo dos golpes del ganador. Los otros jugadores que compartieron el tercer lugar fueron Alex Smalley (68) y Vince Whaley (70). Fueron los dos mejores scores de aquellos que estuvieron en contención en la ronda final.

Por su parte, Chandler Phillips terminó solitario en el segundo sitio, con score de 273 golpes, once-bajo par. Estuvo a punto de forzar el desempate, pero finalmente Adam Schenk salió victorioso, por medio de tres pares muy trabajados al final, que le aseguraron el título. Phillips estuvo muy cerca de la victoria, pero tres costosos bogeys en los últimos nueve hoyos le costaron. Un último birdie en el 17, le significó el subcampeonato.
Camilo Villegas empató en el noveno puesto, con score de 8-bajo par. Kris Ventura, por su parte, compartió el lugar 34, con score de 283 golpes, uno-bajo par.
