Rolex becomes Official Partner of LIV Golf, growing its hospitality platform internationally and extending its support across the world of golf

NEW YORK / GENEVA (January 28, 2026) – LIV Golf, the golf league blending world-class competition with entertainment, hospitality, and culture to grow the game globally, today announced Rolex as an Official Partner. The partnership will focus on delivering an exclusive and elevated hospitality programme for the Swiss watchmaker’s guests, growing its offering into international territories.

Rolex’s presence in LIV Golf will be anchored in premium hospitality, enabling the Swiss watchmaker to provide enhanced guest experiences in international territories, as well as ensuring wider access to leading players. The League’s calendar allows engagement in new markets, outside of the traditional heartlands of the US and UK, including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, and Mexico. The 2026 LIV Golf season will feature 14 events across 10 countries and five continents, beginning with the season opener in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from February 4–7, and comprising the League’s first-ever event in South Africa from March 19–22.

LIV Golf’s roster features several Rolex Testimonees competing across different teams in the League, with a number taking on leadership roles as captains, including Bryson DeChambeau, Martin Kaymer, Phil Mickelson, Joaquin Niemann, and Jon Rahm. They are joined by fellow Testimonees, Thomas Detry, Anirban Lahiri, Carlos Ortiz, and Victor Perez. Together, they reinforce Rolex’s commitment to performance at the highest levels of the game.

En el Champions Tour, el torneo de apertura, el estadunidense Stewart Cink inició tal y como terminó la temporada pasada, cuando se erigió en ganador de la Copa Charles Schwab, arrollando con tres sólidas rondas en el Mitsubishi Electric Championship, en Hualalai, que finalizó el pasado sábado. Cink, que finalmente está demostrando su gran potencial en este circuito, anotó vueltas de 66-63-64 para un total de 193 golpes, 23-bajo par. Una gran actuación, que para muchos fue deslumbrante. El argentino Angel Cabrera, en otra gran actuación, se metió al segundo lugar, luego de haber disparado rondas de 68-62-66 para 196 golpes, 20-bajo par. En especial, el score del segundo día, un increíble 62, diez-bajo par. 

Retief Goosen, de Sudáfrica, registró parciales de 68-66-64 para quedarse con el tercer sitio, con score de 198, 18-bajo par. Ernie Els, ganador del torneo en 2025, estuvo cerca y con vueltas de 66-66-67, empató en el cuarto lugar, con Thomas Bjorn (66) y Freddie Jacobson (70). Cada uno sumó 199 golpes, 17-bajo par. 

Bernhard Langer, a sus 68 años y todavía en la búsqueda de nuevas marcas, anotó parciales de 70-64-68 para score de 202 golpes, 14-bajo par. Tiró su edad en dos ocasiones. 

Para el campeón Stewart Cink, fue su quinta conquista desde que ascendió al Champions Tour.

 En el PGA Tour, nuevamente brilló el indiscutible número uno, Scottie Scheffler, quien pese a haber cometido dos errores que le costaron un bogey y un doble-bogey, salió a producir golpes magistrales de approach que le produjeron un racimo de nueve birdies y score de 66, seis-bajo par, con el que aseguró su vigésimo triunfo en el PGA Tour, una cualidad que le otorga membresía vitalicia en el circuito. Solo fueron dos distracciones para el tejano, quien una vez más, está demostrando que su hambre de títulos es insaciable y que buscará continuar con esta fantástica racha ganadora. Sin duda, son malas noticias para sus adversarios.

Quizá el mayor interés de la ronda final, radicaba en cómo iba a jugar el joven sensación, Blades Brown, un joven de 18 años que decidió convertirse en profesional, hace apenas un año. Brown asombró a muchos con un impactante 60, 12-bajo par en su segundo recorrido. Según afirmó, «el solo hecho de haber podido ver de cerca el juego de Scottie Scheffler, fue una ganancia». No se derrumbó Brown, disparó un 74, dos-sobre par, registro que lo hizo caer a un empate en el lugar 18, con score de 19-bajo par. Pero lo que exhibió asombró a muchos, indudablemente.

Detrás del campeón Scottie Scheffler se ubicaron Jason Day (64), Ryan Gerard (65), Matt McCarty (68) y Andrew Putnam (68), cada uno con score de 265 golpes, 23-bajo par. Cada uno se quedó a cuatro de distancia de Scheffler. El total ganador fue de 261 golpes, 27-bajo par, con parciales de 63-64-68-66. Regresó tal y como había finalizado el año 2025.

Emilio González no logró librar el corte de los 54 hoyos, con subtotal de 8-bajo par. Kris Ventura, por su parte, se quedó en el límite, en 10-bajo par, tampoco lo logró. 

Para Scottie Scheffler fue muy importante haber comenzado muy bien esta temporada, con otro triunfo. Se hizo ver que alcanzaba los 20 títulos en el PGA Tour, con cuatro majors, antes de cumplir los 30 años. Dos de los más grandes habían logrado esta proeza anteriormente, Jack Nicklaus y Tiger Woods.

En el DP World Tour, el controvertido estadunidense Patrick Reed no dejó que algún jugador le estropeara su debut de temporada en este 2026 y con muy buenas ejecuciones salió avante en el Hero Dubai Desert Classic, con una ronda final de 72 golpes, par de campo. No fue un jugador brillante en la ronda final, como lo había sido en sus tres primeros recorridos, cuando marcó una buena ventaja de cuatro golpes, con parciales de 69-66-67 para subtotal de 14-bajo par.

Prácticamente, Reed salió a administrar su ventaja y para su buena fortuna, ninguno de sus perseguidores logró inquietarlo con una fuerte arremetida. David Puig, a quien se le veía como el más peligroso, se fue a las nubes con un 75, tres-sobre par, que lo hizo caer hasta el séptimo sitio. Patrick Reed capturó el torneo con score de 274 golpes, 14-bajo par. El inglés Andy Sullivan, gracias a una ronda final de 71, uno-bajo par, se metió al segundo lugar, con score de 278 golpes, diez-bajo par. Detrás de él, Julien Guerrier, un francés quien con un fin de semana espectacular (65-69), logró escalar posiciones hasta el tercer escalón. Sumó 279 golpes, nueve-bajo par.

Patrick Reed, quien es miembro del DP World Tour, sumó dos bogeys y dos birdies en un recorrido, que él mismo reconoció que fue complicado. Tuvo a su favor el que nadie se le acercara demasiado, especialmente David Puig, quien con su gran distancia podía cortar por las esquinas, en algunos par-4. Reed no ganaba en este circuito desde 2020, cuando capturó el WGC-Mexico Championship. Son en total, cuatro títulos del DP World Tour para el nuevo campeón.

Fue un torneo plagado de figuras, como Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Dustin Johnson y Tommy Fleetwood. Para muchos, fue decepcionante el que ninguno haya dado la pelea en este gran clásico de mucha tradición. Rory finalizó en el lugar 33, con 2-bajo par; Fleetwood, en el 41, con 1-bajo par; Johnson ni siquiera pasó el corte, como tampoco lo hizo Joaquín Niemann y finalmente, Lowry terminó en el puesto 26, con 3-bajo par. 

Francesco Molinari (72), Jayden Schaper (70) y Nicolai Hojgaard (70), compartieron el cuarto lugar, cada uno con score de 280 golpes, ocho-bajo par. Molinari, especialmente, hacía mucho tiempo que no se le veía cerca del liderato en algún torneo. No olvidemos que él fue el campeón del Open Championship en 2018.

NEW YORK (January 22, 2026) – LIV Golf, the global golf league blending world-class competition with entertainment and culture to grow the game worldwide, today announced the winners of The LIV Golf Showcase, the inaugural awards special honoring the most compelling performances, pivotal moments, impactful players, and dramatic moments from the 2025 LIV Golf season.  

The 22 awards winners were spread across 13 different players and 12 different League teams; highlighting the strength of the League’s field of golfers. Honors were highlighted by MVP Joaquín Niemann, Breakout Star of the Year David Puig, Clutch Player of the Year Jon Rahm, Shot of the Year Phil Mickelson, and Comeback Player of the Year Bubba Watson.  

Multiple honors highlighted the season’s elite execution, led by Bryson DeChambeau, who captured Drive of the Year, with an incredible 410.8 yard-drive at LIV Golf Mexico City 2025, and Win of the Year at LIV Golf Korea 2025 – performances that anchored Crushers GC’s two-award haul. Phil Mickelson also earned multiple honors, claiming Shot of the Year alongside the playful Can I Get a Mulligan (Right Idea, Wrong Result) award. 4Aces GC added two accolades through Patrick Reed’s hole-in-one at LIV Golf Adelaide 2025 (Moment of the Year) and Dustin Johnson’s Escape Artist (Season’s Greatest Save) performance at LIV Golf Singapore 2025. 

Following its broadcast tonight on FS1, The LIV Golf Showcase is available on LIV Golf’s YouTube Channel. The LIV Golf Showcase features two awards that celebrate YouTube golf culture and the League’s viral YouTube series, “The Duels.” The broadcast featured a special appearance from golf content creator, Fat Perez from Bob Does Sports, to accept the award for Under the Influence – Best Golf Influencer Moment of the Year.

The LIV Golf Showcase precedes the start of the 2026 LIV Golf season, the League’s fourth full season, which commences February 4-7 with ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. That event sets LIV Golf’s global schedule in motion, which features 14 events in 10 countries and five continents. The season will continue through Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom, and additional international destinations, including LIV Golf’s first-ever event in South Africa (March 19–22).

En el torneo de apertura del año en el PGA Tour, el potente jugador estadunidense, Chris Gotterup no dejó que lo opacaran actuaciones deslumbrantes de Robert MacIntyre (63), Patrick Rodgers (65), Daniel Berger (64), Taylor Pendrith (64), Ryan Gerard (65) y Jacob Bridgeman (64) y con parcial de 64, seis-bajo par, se adjudicó el Sony Open, que se celebra tradicionalmente en la cancha de Waialae, en Honolulu, Hawaii. Gotterup se vio muy sólido en su recorrido final, acertando siete birdies, contra un solitario bogey, para sumar un total de 264 golpes, 16-bajo par.

Es uno de los fuertes pegadores, pero combina este atributo con un toque magistral alrededor de los greens. Como se recordará, Gotterup logró su segundo título en el verano pasado, cuando superó en gran mano a mano a Rory McIlroy en el Scottish Open, previo al Open Championship. Esta vez, en Hawaii, el estadunidense alcanzó su tercera conquista en el PGA Tour. Ya es una tendencia, por lo que este joven jugador podría convertirse en un jugador con múltiples triunfos, uno que contienda en los torneos mayores. Por lo pronto, es el tercer año consecutivo que se anota un título.

Ryan Gerard, quien cerró embalado el año 2025, quedó solitario en el segundo puesto, con 266 golpes, 14-bajo par. Detrás de él, Patrick Rodgers, quien con 65 golpes pudo meterse al tercer sitio en solitario, con 267 golpes, 13-bajo par. Finalmente, Robert MacIntyre y Jacob Bridgeman compartieron el cuarto lugar, cada uno con 268 golpes, 12-bajo par. 

Para el mexicano Emilio González fue afortunado haber librado el corte y con score acumulado de 276 golpes, cuatro-bajo par, empató en el lugar 50. Casi todos los latinoamericanos que participaron quedaron atrapados en el corte de los 36 hoyos.
